On an almost perfect afternoon on an almost deserted Hilton (Barbados) beach I captured their wedding in late December last year.
Simon is from Northern Ireland and Keanna is from Vancouver Island in Canada. They now reside in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

The Tamarind (West Coast).......
.....wedding day was filled with happy vibes, lots of laughter and some tears,But most of all it was a day with beautiful moments. The occasion was a day when friends and family members gathered to share and congratulate the happy couple….
Here is Michael summarizing their union……. ‘Five years ago we met by chance on the Jolly Roger and there was an instant connection. I don't believe a day has passed where we have not been in communication since that fateful day. Distance has resulted in challenges but we have been and will always be committed to our partnership. On August 10, 2019, we had the privilege of entering into this union in the company of friends and family in what has so far been the most joyous day of our lives! Thank you to everyone who has supported us during this journey!.........’
It was a fantastic day of Love!!

Looking forward to 2020!!
The wedding was on the west coast of Barbados at The Discovery Resort on a slightly overcast
evening.
Here is the story of their day.
]]>Klive- "We’ve known each other our whole lives as Shana was a few years behind me in school. However we first “met” each other in 2010 when we sang in a group together every night for a series of church services. Shana knew from the start that she wanted us to be together but it took me some more time to figure it out. We were first started a relationship in 2011 but we were young and not as mature as we needed to be, sadly we broke up. However, as fate would have it, we always kept in touch and shared the highlights of our lives with each other. So despite passage of time and being in different locations we got back together in February 2017 and this time we made it stick. We were engaged one year later, just after my birthday in Feb 2018 and then of course married on October 28, 2018".

The Story
Kayley met Sean on a Caribbean cruise over two years ago;
it was over the Christmas/New Year period in 2014.
They continued to see each other on the return to The U.K.(even though they live 200+ miles apart)each and every weekend until Sean in January 2016 ,during another cruise...to the Far East this time...proposed to Kayley.
She said Yes!!
Kayley moved from her hometown in Dudley, Midlands to Leigh-on-Sea,Essex where Sean lives,
in August 2016.
As they had meet in the Caribbean it only felt right that they shall get married there;
also growing up as a child, Kayley remembered her father saying to her that the sand in Barbados was
like flour;he had visited there once, prior to Kayley's birth.
"He was certainly right because all the beaches in Barbados are stunning" Kayley said.
Sadly Kayley's dad died in 2008 from cancer so in memory of him Barbados was the obvious choice.
The wedding was booked in December 2016 and seven weeks before the wedding they found out they were expecting they first baby....fortunately Kayley's dress still fit.......
Have a look...
on August 20th 2016.
The reception followed at The Crane Beach Resort in St. Phillip.
Here are a few highlights of the event.
Bangor-born Zoe Salmon has wed her beau, William Corrie from Newtownards, by eloping to the tropical island of Barbados. The loved-up pair tied the knot at the exclusive five-star Sandy Lane resort- a favourite of Rihanna and Simon Cowell.
Chelsea and Misir and their wedding parties; Then on to Beachy Head, a rustic vacation home
over looking cliffs on both sides and an almost private stretch of beach.
The event was beautifully coordinated by Artathomp Events Barbados.
]]>Our Barbados Wedding, While I love Barbados, the island was not my first choice. My husband’s family is from Barbados and St. Vincent. I was born in England and grew up on Kauai so I knew that I would always get married on an island. I was sure that island would be Kauai.
My husband convinced me that Barbados was not only a beautiful island but also an equidistant location for our friends and family to join our celebration. He continued on “I proposed to you on Kauai so we have to get married in Barbados.” As you can see this was my husband’s Bajan/Vincy logic, hence we were destined to begin our marriage in Barbados. Well I couldn't plan a wedding on Island I had never visited, so off we went for a comparison test.
Barbados was enchanting, I loved the water; warm beautiful blues hues, calm sea or great body surfing. The amazing sky; spectacular cloud formations, sunrises & gorgeous sunsets. Barbados has some delicious food; Oistins on Friday nights, flying fish, roti & authentic black cake for our wedding. We found the perfect spot for our wedding at The Crane Hotel perched on a cliff overlooking one of the best beaches I've ever seen. I had to admit it Barbados was the perfect island for our wedding.
then on to Saint Nicholas Abbey- a Plantation House and Rum refinery in the northern parish of St Lucy for the ceremony ,reception and the party.
The Wedding was catered and coordinated by Sunflower Events.
I now have the pleasure of presenting to you the "results"........
